I’m 5’3”. In 2016 I was over 240lbs and wearing a size 22-24. I was so embarrassed and ashamed; I couldn’t believe I had allowed myself to get so big. Every Sunday, I would tell myself that Monday would be the day that I would start my weight loss journey, but instead of losing weight, I kept expanding my hips.
In 2017, I was the Director of a substance abuse program and wanted to learn hypnosis to see if it could help my patients with substance use disorders. During my training, my trainer used me to demonstrate a technique called Tapping (Emotional Freedom Techniques/EFT). After just doing one round of Tapping, I had released so many emotions that had been buried inside of me, and it was through this release, I was able to lose the weight almost effortlessly.
However, during the COVID pandemic, as a therapist, I reverted to my old habits as a workaholic and started to binge eat during times of stress or reward. Over the last 3 years, I have gained 27 lbs., so now it’s time to refocus and get back on track.

1) The Beck Diet Solution Weight Loss Workbook (The 6-Week Plan to Train Your Brain to Think Like a Thin Person), by Judith S. Beck, Ph.D. (Cognitive Therapy) 2) Tapping/Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) for Weight Loss
3) Self-hypnosis for Weight Loss 4) Mindfulness Meditation for Weight Loss 5) The benefits of low-carb diets (keto, paleo, carnivore) with weekly recipes. 6) The benefits of plant-based diets (vegetarian, vegan) with weekly recipes. 7) Intermittent fasting and the benefits of fasting.
8) Cooking tips, meal planning, and cooking demonstrations.

Starting February 7. 2013, the group will meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM.
